An innovative process for cold extraction of the aromas from the cocoa bean - as once done by the Mayans - stands as the igniting idea at the beginning of the adventure. We were allowed to accompany the first discussions about automation platforms, smelled the unwanted odours at the old location of the spray drying tower and were finally able to completely reautomate the tower at its new site.

New Development of Tank Storage

With this project, the programming of the transport as well as the intermediate storage between the individual sub-processes of the liquid phase was realized. After developing the FDS, the requirements were realized in the program. After engineering, the system was put into operation at the customer's site. The procurement and installation of the hardware was done by other suppliers.

New Development of a Spray Drying Tower

A spray drying tower was developed for further processing of the liquid phase of the chocolate. The process was worked out closely with the customer and then transferred to an FDS. With the FDS as a basis, the programming could be done. The control cabinets and field wiring were provided by other suppliers. During commissioning and following optimization work, close cooperation with the customer took place.

Automation Consulting for New Production Plant

Because the customer was setting up the factory from scratch, fundamental conceptual issues had to be clarified first. The customer could be accompanied and advised during this project phase. For example, the entire server landscape was specified and set up on which the control system now runs. Furthermore, the framework of Deleproject could be contributed which enables a faster implementation and helps to achieve a general software structure despite several integrators.
