Retrofit Ammonia Ice Water Production
This project involved modernizing the control and HMI software of an ice water system. The plant comprises three ammonia piston compressors, two ice water basins and a cold water distribution system for the building's air conditioning. The software was implemented in the current Nestlé toolbox and the visualization was created using the modern system platform and the InTouch application from Wonderware (AVEVA).
Migration of a Dissolution and Evaporation Plant
As part of a factory expansion, these two systems were also assigned to the FDA-qualified area. For this purpose, the software had to be brought up to the qualified standard. This also included the creation of the associated documentation as well as the qualification and recommissioning of the entire system in accordance with FDA specifications.
FDA Qualified Building Ventilation System
As part of an extension to the factory building, this project included the automation of the building ventilation and the control of room temperatures, room humidity and room pressure for highly hygienic zones. The ventilation system comprised 4 monoblocks and distribution over 4 floors. As FDA compliant products are manufactured in this part of the factory, the ventilation system also had to be qualified to this standard.
Cooling and Heat Generation Center
This project involved the automation of an ammonia refrigeration system with two piston compressors to produce cold and hot water for the building's ventilation system. In addition to the two refrigeration systems, the project scope also included the water storage tanks and the energy distribution and transmission. The software was implemented in the current Nestlé toolbox and the visualization was created with the modern system platform and the InTouch application from Wonderware (AVEVA).
Mini Spray Dryer
This project involved the automation of a small spray drying plant for the production of milk powder, which is to serve as a prototype for other plants. The software was implemented in the current Nestlé toolbox and the visualization was created using a modern system platform and the InTouch application from Wonderware (AVEVA). After pre-commissioning at the plant manufacturer, the plant was transferred to Konolfingen and recommissioned there.
Renewal of Control System for Evaporator
This project involved replacing the outdated SLC control hardware and software. The modules and functions were standardized and implemented with the latest Nestlé Automation Toolbox. The visualization was mapped in a modern InTouch application from Wonderware.
