Together with a plant manufacturer, a new bread transport system was automated in this project. In this system, the rolls and buns are taken over after the depanner, guided over predefined cooling spiral sections depending on the product and then transferred to two different packaging lines. The scope of this project included the software engineering with control and visualization for the conveyor system as well as the entire electrical engineering with control cabinets and field cabling.

The goal of this project was to replace the aging automation hardware and software. The existing control system was dated back to 1991 and was based on the old PLC5 controller family. In the course of the renewal, the controls for the oven and the proofing cabinet were separated and the entire process was visualized in a new modern HMI. The renewal of the control cabinets, on-site cabling and re-commissioning of the plant were also scope of this project.
